In January 2002, Hynes-Quinn added a new dimension to it’s already highly successful portfolio of services. A new Construction Plant Operator Training Centre was opened just outside Longford town. This operation has been developed and implemented to a point where certification is complete to the approved standards of FAS, ITSSAR and The Health and Safety Authority.

Hynes Quinn believes that everyone deserves to learn and be tested in the very highest standard of vehicle. To this end, throughout the range of different vehicles we cover, we are constantly replacing the nearly new with the brand new, and maintaining the entire fleet to the highest level possible.

  • Licensing & Certification training covering all aspects of safety awareness including theory and practical test
  • Assisting Trainees by providing training that meets all legal and statutory requirements
  • Achieving the correct level of ability and training techniques in order to operate Plant & Heavy Goods Machinery.

That each Trainee on completion of this course is capable of satisfying the basic requirements of the Health & Safety Commissions approved Code of Practice in the safe operation of the specified machine type(s) which they have been tested upon.

On successful completion of both Theory and Practica,l each trainee will be issued with a fas recognised “Ticket” authorising the named person to operate the machine’s which they have been successfully tested upon. Each Trainee will also be issued with a Basic Skills Ability Certificate accredited by FAS.

  • FETAC – Certificate in Training Systems Development (FÁS) for Workplace Assesment
  • FÁS – Approved Assesment Centre
  • NIFAST – Lift Truck Operator Certificate
  • AITT ITSSAR – Certification having met the prerequisite standards of ITSSAR and being appointed as an Accredited Instructor / Examiner
  • Airport School of Motoring – Certification of instructors course on Counter-Balance Fork-Truck

Cancellation Policy: 24 hour notice of cancellation must be given or lesson must be paid for in full before tuition re-commences. All lessons to be paid for on the day of tuition.
