In January 2002, Hynes-Quinn added a new dimension to it’s already highly successful portfolio of services. A new Construction Plant Operator Training Centre was opened just outside Longford town. This operation has been developed and implemented to a point where certification is complete to the approved standards of SOLAS, ITSSAR and The Health and Safety Authority.

HynesQuinn believes that everyone deserves to learn and be tested in the very highest standard of vehicle. To this end, throughout the range of different vehicles we cover, we are constantly replacing the nearly new with the brand new, and maintaining the entire fleet to the highest level possible.
- Licensing & Certification training covering all aspects of safety awareness including theory and practical test
- Assisting Trainees by providing training that meets all legal and statutory requirements
- Achieving the correct level of ability and training techniques in order to operate Plant & Heavy Goods Machinery.
That each Trainee on completion of this course is capable of satisfying the basic requirements of the Health & Safety Commissions approved Code of Practice in the safe operation of the specified machine type(s) which they have been tested upon.

On successful completion of both Theory and Practical each trainee will be issued with a Solas recognised “Ticket” authorising the named person to operate the machine’s which they have been successfully tested upon. Each Trainee will also be issued with a Basic Skills Ability Certificate accredited by Solas.
